I think this drawing the two that follow show my father's deep admiration for Cezanne. Although my father used a different drawing and painting techniques than Cezanne did, he deeply admired and learned from Cezanne's work and its emphasis on form. So compositionally, this work and many of dad's works owe a lot to Cezanne. I think he also admire Cezanne's dogged determination to stick to his vision and process no matter what the reaction might be.
